Beschreibung

The name of the young pianist and child prodigy Tanya Fedkina was celebrated throughout the Soviet Union in the 1960s. Unlike many such prodigies, Tanya fully realized her extraordinary talent and became a remarkable musician. Unfortunately, a serious illness interrupted her illustrious concert career, but it also revealed her talent as a teacher. This is Tatyana Malinina-Fedkina's second book, her first, Don't Kill the Prodigies!, was published in 2007. In this new book, the author shares her personal experience of overcoming illness and presents her own set of hand exercises, which will be useful for anyone suffering from the effects of neurological diseases. A true highlight of the book is the compact disc containing recordings of the pianist. Moreover, the Suite-Fantasy on themes from P. I. Tchaikovsky's ballet Swan Lake and the Fantasy on themes from G. Verdi's opera Don Carlos were recorded during her illness. The publication is addressed to a wide range of readers.
