'I fell in love with the gentle rocking 7/8 rhythm and Balkan modality of this beautiful traditional Croatian lullaby Lluljaj mi, Sine, when I came across it whilst searching for ideas for my Love Songs & Lullabies album. It started its life as a sketch for a collaboration with my dance music producer brother Jem Stone Panufnik a chillout track called Lyras Lullaby which also appears on the album. In this cello and piano version, the traditional melody frames a central section where I develop the theme and exploit the full range of the cello (as I did the trombone in the pieces electronica version).
