Beschreibung
He published a facsimile edition of the autograph score by Hisato Osawa, a composer from Kansai who was active as a composer and conductor in prewar America and Paris. This work is a representative chamber music piece, completed in Boston in March 1933. It took only two and a half years to begin learning composition, and the first official pianist of the Boston Symphony Orchestra, J. Saint-Roma, along with the Durrell String Quartet, gave a trial performance. It incorporates the cutting-edge composition method of the time, the "quarter tone."
