The next volume of the source-critical edition of Feliks Nowowiejski's works is devoted to the Third Organ Symphony. A composition student of Max Bruch and a virtuosic organist, Feliks Nowowiejski (1877–1946) renamed organ sonatas to symphonies and composed nine works in this genre. The three-movement Symphony No. 3 is noteworthy for its featuring of Baroque toccata form and references to the French song Cantique-Récit de l'apparition de Notre-Dame de Lourdes and its Polish adaptation Po górach, dolinach. The introduction and critical commentaries are available in Polish, English, and German. Selections of Nowowiejski’s autographs are reprinted and included in the publication.
