Several years before he finished his first opera, Giacomo Puccini composed a number of smaller orchestral works and some chamber music as well. Between 1881 and 1993 he composed six string quartets including this 'Fuga in Do minore' (Fugue in c minor). Italian arranger Matteo Firmi transcribed this piece for a Saxophone Quartet.
