Beschreibung
It is a piano piece composed in 1882, when Tchaikovsky was considered the happiest period of his life, in the village of Kamenka, a suburb of Kiv, at the request of his publisher. It was described by the critic Asafiev as "a true benevolent man who warms people's hearts." In particular, songs 4 and 6 are often performed in Japan, and song 5 is said to be the best "romance" written for piano and is often performed. The full-tone version was fingered and pedaled by the author to make it easier for Japan to play, and the inconsistent notation seen in the previous version was sorted out.
