Jyrki Linjama's (b. 1962) poetic music finds its counterpart in the poems of an important Finnish modernist Eeva-Liisa Manner (1921-1995). The song cycle ”himmeä, kirkas, himmeä...” consists of five songs and was commissioned and premiered by baritone Aarne Pelkonen and pinist Juho Alakärppä in November 2019 in Helsinki. The duration is c. 23 mintues.
