Body percussion ensembles will love the programmatic nature of this imaginative piece. It will remind players and listeners of a day at school - knuckled rapping on wood (desk), hand claps, tummy pats, and foot taps and stomps - together and in imitation (mimicry). It begins in a march-like 4/4 and ends in a skipping (home from school) 6/8. Two copies of each are provided for ensembles with 3 to 6 (or more in multiples of three) players.
